Döner, or Turkish Subs, is a traditional fast food. It’s commonly made of thin-cut, oven-cooked meat that’s served on a flatbread called pide. Other ingredients include onions, tomatoes and lettuce as well as spices like sumac (a dried red berry), salt and pepper. Many variations exist but they all have one thing in common: They are delicious!

Döner is made from sliced meat and vegetables, served on pita bread with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and onion slices or pickles for extra flavor. This can be served as an appetizer or entrée with salad on top! The word kebab comes from “kabob” which means skewer in Turkish language.

Pide is a thin and crispy flatbread that is usually filled with cheese, meat or vegetables. It’s served with a salad, yogurt sauce or garlic sauce.
